About the Owner
Celeste Goodson has a B.S. in Fitness and Wellness Management and has worked in physical therapy, cardiac rehab, coached high school X-C, and worked in several fitness and aquatic settings. In 2005, Celeste became certified through ACE as an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, certifying her to personal train Pre/Post Natal women and those with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and metabolic conditions.
After her 3rd child, Celeste found herself dealing with diastasis recti, mild stress incontinence and prolapse. She had been told by her ObGyn that exercises would do nothing for her. Luckily she knew that was wrong. Celeste felt the need to research extensively how to best strengthen the stretched out tissue and muscles, improve alignment and within a few months; started to develop ReCORE and the FITsplint.
Celeste saw a need for women to get proper core reconditioning after childbirth. Simply going back to the gym routine is not sufficient enough to re-strengthen the inner core (pelvic floor, transverse abs, back, postural muscles etc), and women pay for it later when it finally catches up to them and they think surgery is the only option. From her experience and client results, Celeste has developed the ReCORE program, an effective 6 week core reconditioning program. Women also need proper support to facilitate healing. Celeste has also designed the FITsplint (Maternity and Post-Natal) to help women protect and heal their core. Celeste believes that while pregnancy is a natural and amazing process, the muscles, ligaments and nerves have been stretched, strained and weakened. Women deserve to know that they can avoid and fix many of the common issues associated with pregnancy by correct core strengthening/stretching exercises, proper alignment and splinting.
Celeste has 3 young energetic kids and an incredibly supportive husband. Celeste enjoys competing occasionally in running events and triathlons. Celeste is a Boston Marathon qualifier and understands the desire for women to stay as fit as possible during pregnancy, get their core strength back and return to their exercise of choice injury and symptom free.
