About the Owner
Celeste Goodson has a B.S. in Fitness and Wellness Management and has worked in physical therapy, cardiac rehab, coached high school X-C, and worked in several fitness and aquatic settings. In 2005, Celeste became certified through ACE as an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, certifying her to personal train Pre/Post Natal women and those with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and metabolic conditions cleared by a physician.
After her 3rd child, Celeste found herself dealing with diastasis recti, mild stress incontinence and prolapse. She had been told by her ObGyn that exercises would do nothing for her. Luckily she knew that was wrong. Celeste felt the need to research extensively how to best strengthen the stretched out tissue and muscles, improve alignment and within a few months; started to develop ReCORE and the FITsplint.
Celeste saw a need for women to get proper core reconditioning after childbirth. Simply going back to the gym routine is not sufficient enough to re-strengthen the inner core (pelvic floor, transverse abs, back, postural muscles etc), and women pay for it later when it finally catches up to them and they think surgery is the only option. From her experience and client results, Celeste has developed the ReCORE program, an effective 6 week core reconditioning program. Women also need proper support to facilitate healing. Celeste has also designed the FITsplint (Maternity and Post-Natal) to help women protect and heal their core. Celeste believes that while pregnancy is a natural and amazing process, the muscles, ligaments and nerves have been stretched, strained and weakened. Women deserve to know that they can avoid and fix many of the common issues associated with pregnancy by correct core strengthening/stretching exercises, proper alignment and splinting.
Celeste has 3 young energetic kids and an incredibly supportive husband. Celeste enjoys competing occasionally in running events and triathlons. Celeste is a Boston Marathon qualifier and understands the desire for women to stay as fit as possible during pregnancy, get their core strength back and return to their exercise of choice injury and symptom free.

What makes MomBod Fitness Programs different?
- Quality over Quantity...it's better for women to focus on correct technique and quality exercises that get progressively challenging than doing hundreds of the same exercise
- Women should do progressive strengthening exercises for the most effective results.
- Its important to focus on total core conditioning (the inner and outer core) and proper alignment. Strengthening the pelvic floor is not just about doing kegels. The muscles are all connected, some need to be shortened, some need to be lengthened, some both. By working all the core muscles, they will help each other get stronger, faster.
- Women that do not have Diastasis still benefit from the ReCORE program, which can help improve spine stability, pelvic floor weakness, core strength and posture.
- Once the core is reconditioned and/or Diastasis is minimized or fixed, women CAN safely do tougher core stability exercises again.
- Women learn exercise techniques and proper form that should be used in daily activities, not just a fitness class.
- The FITsplint is patent pending and is designed to splint, be fully adjustable, comfortable through movement, and slim fitting.
How the FITsplint came about...![]() FITsplint Maternity
During my 3rd pregnancy, I bought a maternity support to support the belly during jogging, however I was disappointed in the lack of belly support, proper fit and function. I looked online and in stores but couldn't find what I wanted. "They were either too stiff, too tall, only partially adjustable and didn't splint (crossover)" Because of my certification as an ACE Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, and training as a Pre/Post Natal Trainer, I knew that splinting after pregnancy was the best way along with correct exercises to help heal the stretched out muscles and tissue (diastasis recti). I really wanted to design a support that could do everything..be a splint provide proper belly, back, bladder support, be flexible, fully adjustable and could be worn DURING pregnancy and after! It took me over a year of researching and testing the function and material, but I am finally launching the MomBod FITsplint - I hope you will agree it is the best support/splint out there. -Celeste Goodson |

What is Splinting?

ACE Pre & Post Natal Fitness Manual 2002
In 2002, Celeste first learned about splinting the abdomen with a towel. This helps bring the stretched out abdominal muscles close together for correct muscle positioning during exercise. It is difficult for stretched out connective tissue to heal when it is constantly stretched out. The FITsplint provides proper support by holding the connective tissue and rectus abdominal muscles close together. In my experience when women wear the FITsplint and do the exercises the results are faster than with just exercise alone.
Diastasis Recti
Diastasis Recti is when the rectus abdominal muscles have stretched apart. This does not mean that the connective tissue between the abs is torn. It is just thinned, weakened and stretched out. Diastasis Recti is abdominal separation of 3 or more fingerwidths. Most women get some degree of abdominal separation (usually 2 fingerwidths) after pregnancy. Most women are told this will go back on its own and while some might, it usually can take a year or more without assistance or get worse by doing contraindicated exercises. Many women have genetically weaker connective tissue and thus, getting abdominal separation to heal on its own is can be very difficult. It is proactive and recommended for ALL post-natal moms to wear the FITsplint post-pregnancy and do ReCORE to get all the inner core muscles functionally properly again before it becomes a bigger problem.
