“I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby and was experiencing sciatica pain for about 6 weeks. I tried yoga and chiropractic care and, although those helped alleviate the pain somewhat, I was still in pain throughout the day. Then I found the FITsplint and within one day of wearing it, my sciatic pain was reduced by about 85%. And now that I’ve been using it for almost a week, I’d say it’s close to 100% better. I would highly recommend the FITsplint!”

"I used the Maternity FITsplint during the last 8 weeks of my 3rd trimester and remember thinking it probably wouldn't do much to help me in anyway. I was shocked after the first day when I took it off before bed and felt the entire weight of my belly... the splint had supported it all day and made such a huge difference! I highly recommend it for anyone who is pregnant - whether they exercise during the pregnancy or not!"

"I ordered my FITsplint in August and started wearing it the day I received it! I was 6 1/2 months pregnant and I was struggling with continuing to run due to low back pain and the increased weight of my baby belly. With the FITsplint, I was able to run into my 7th month of pregnancy and continue walking up to 3 miles even past my due date! I don't know that I would have been able to be as active without the extra support and added comfort of the FITsplint! I even wore it as I continued working as a Certified Athletic Trainer when I covered High School and College athletic events. It definitely helped when I needed to get out on the field or court to an injured player quickly! Our baby girl came 11 days late, and I started wearing the FITsplint after she was born."

I have this one: http://www.mombodfitness.com/fitsplint-maternity.html
and it has been exceptional for helping me. it has made a huge difference. I wore a 10 pre-preg and ordered a medium. It's very adjustable and I liked that it had two options for wearing. I found it more supportive to have one band high and one band low. At 36 weeks, I want both bands low so that I don't have to pee every 5 minutes at the gym, though.
Doc also recommended it for ligament pain, which it helped a TON with!

Ways to wear it!
How is the Maternity FITsplint different from other maternity supports?
The FITsplint's unique design allows for the 2 straps to separate if desired to provide more belly support. The straps can both be worn down low for more back or belly support. As you crossover the 2 straps, you can gently "lift" the belly for more bladder relief. The FITsplint is fully adjustable so you can get the proper secure fit that you need.
Can I use the Maternity FITsplint post-partum or is it best to order a Maternity FITsplint and a post-partum splint? Yes you can wear the Maternity FITsplint post-partum, it will just wrap around the back. Some women may not need the Maternity FITsplint, but all moms can benefit from wearing the FITsplint Post-partum, so we sell it in smaller sizes.
Is this Maternity FITsplint just for pregnant exercisers?
No, not at all. This is a maternity support for any pregnant woman who wants general back, ligament or bladder support. The unique design and material make it easy for exercisers to get the proper support they need as well.
I'm pregnant and have always been fairly athletic, I'm pretty sure my abs can handle carrying a baby, why would I need the Maternity FITsplint?
The FITsplint is there for proper support during movement such as prolonged standing, walking, aerobics and jogging. It can help with sciatic pain, back pain and bladder pressure. You should definitely keep doing correct ab exercises during pregnancy.
Having a strong core is very important during pregnancy, but even athletes may not know how to exercise the core effectively as the belly grows. Certain abdominal exercise can make diastasis worse during pregnancy..on the other hand, correct exercises can help minimize diastasis recti during pregnancy. It is not only deconditioned women that get Diastasis Recti.
How often should I wear the Maternity FITsplint?
It will depend on the wearer. It is recommended to wear anytime after 4+ months until delivery. Some women wear it just for proper support during exercise, some wear it to reduce the stress on the back during the day. Some wear it to help relieve pressure off the bladder, muscles or ligaments. Wear as often as needed.
Why is your material flexible?
The FITsplint material is more flexible than most supports to provide the right amount of support while still allowing the core muscles to do the work! The FITsplint is worn to help decrease the extra weight and stress put on the ligaments and joints. Exercises should still be done during pregnancy to keep the core strong and prepare the body for delivery. Exercises, proper body mechanics, alignment and support can all help keep you strong and symptom free during pregnancy.
