How the FITsplint came about...![]() FITsplint (Maternity)
-During my 3rd pregnancy, I bought a maternity support to support the belly during jogging, however I was disappointed in the lack of belly support, proper fit and function. I looked online and in stores but couldn't find what I wanted.
"They were either too stiff, too tall, only partially adjustable and didn't splint (crossover)" Because of my certification as an ACE Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, and training as a Pre/Post Natal Trainer, I knew that splinting after pregnancy was the best way along with correct exercises to help heal the stretched out muscles and tissue (diastasis recti). I really wanted to design a support that could do everything..be a splint provide proper belly, back, bladder support, be flexible, fully adjustable and could be worn DURING pregnancy and after! It took me over a year of researching and testing the function and material, but I am finally launching the MomBod FITsplint - I hope you will agree it is the best support/splint out there. -Celeste Goodson |

Diastasis Recti
Diastasis Recti is when the rectus abdominal muscles have stretched apart. This does not necessarily mean that the connective tissue between the abs is torn. It is usually just thinned, weakened and stretched out. Diastasis Recti an abdominal separation of 3 or more fingerwidths. Most women get some degree of abdominal separation (usually 2 fingerwidths) after pregnancy. Most women are told this will go back on its own and while some do, it usually can take a year or more without assistance. Many women have genetically weaker connective tissue and thus, getting abdominal separation to heal on its own is can be very difficult. It is proactive and recommended for ALL post-natal moms to wear the FITsplint post-pregnancy and do ReCORE to get all the inner core muscles functionally properly again before it becomes a bigger problem.
