DETAILS GET YOUR CORE BACK! Whether you are immediately post-partum or it has been years since your last child, you can still get your core back! ReCORE is designed to help women get their inner core strength back fast and effectively. Many women who go through childbirth have a weak core that may not look or function correctly. Typical gym exercises and crunches DO NOT properly restore the inner core muscles! By progressively training the inner core, ReCORE helps women improve diastasis recti, ab, back strength, posture and pelvic floor issues such as stress incontince and prolapse. The inner core is trained as a unit without isolated kegels!
Sample of clients who have completed the 6 week ReCORE program
ReCORE PROGRAM includes: -ReCORE Assessment (Questionnaire sent to you and returned before starting the program) -Custom designed program -Video Clips for each recommended exercise -Personal weekly emails to get new exercises for the week, check in, and keep you motivated! -Functional Core Training Included: Learn how to use your CORE effectively throughout daily activities and movements
What are considered the CORE muscles? Many! All the inner/outer abdominal muscles, lower back muscles, pelvic floor muscles, inner thighs, glutes and postural muscles.
Do I have to wear the FITsplint or can I just do the ReCORE program?Yes, you can do just the ReCORE program! Many women can have a weak core without diastasis! However, if you have abdominal separation (2 or greater) or are immediately post-partum, I would highly recommend wearing it to help the connective tissue heal faster for more effective results.
I don’t have much of a diastasis, but I still have a "belly bulge", can you help me? Yes! Even though there may not be a diastasis..most moms still have a very weak stretched out inner core muscles including the pelvic floor, back, abs, postural muscles that contribute to weakness, belly bulge and malfuntion.By conditioning the inner core correctly and effectively, moms can regain their core strength, shape and function again.
What causes the "Belly Bulge" ? There are several contributors, the main culprits being abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti), lengthened inner core muscles, weak core muscles, external belly fat and internal visceral fat.
I don’t know if I have a lot of time during the day to devote to this. If you have about 10 minutes available several times a day, you’ll get all the work in! You will need to adjust and wear the splint everyday and you do need to remember to do the exercises several times through out the day, but once you get the hang of the exercises, a few can be done while doing dishes, feeding a baby or even driving (with good posture)!
Why is your program called ReCORE? From my experience training and working with Pre and Post Natal women, I've found that the CORE is the area that suffers the most. The muscles are able to recondition faster when they are trained as a unit and challenged progressively. The ReCORE program works on strengthening these crucial areas (all the ab muscles, pelvic floor, back and postural muscles, glutes, adductors), helping re-shorten those weak stretched out muscles (which does help trim the waist) and improve core function (mild prolapse, stress incontinence) and poor alignment.
Who is the ReCORE Program for? The custom core program can be adapted for any of the following:
Any woman who wants to strengthen their core properly and effectively!
Immediate Post-Partum (c-section or vaginal)
Moms who are even 30+ years post-partum
Why should I do the ReCORE Program? Women who go through childbirth need proper reconditioning to regain their inner core strength back. Many women ignore this area or don't know how to recondition it properly. When the core is weak, the spine is unstable and is at risk for musculoskeletal issues; low back pain, bulging discs, diastasis recti, weak abs, sciatica, hernias, slumped posture which contributes to neck and shoulder pain, pelvic floor weakness which leads to stress incontinence, prolapse etc.
How do Ab exercises help me lose inches off my waist? Typically women who have had children have stretched out and weak abdominal muscles (not just Diastasis Recti.) When the core area is strengthened correctly the connective tissue tightens, the abdominal separation improves and the muscles get stronger which results in pulling the abs back in to where they belong. Yes...splinting and doing correct exercises may result in a thinner waist!
What is splinting and should I wear the FITsplint? Splinting is a technique used to help pull 2 muscles or joints close together. Splinting the abdomen helps relieve the stress on the stretched out connective tissue between the rectus abdominus muscles. Women who are immediately post-partum or women with abdominal separation 2 fingerwidths or larger can benefit from wearing the FITsplint. By wearing a splint and strengthening the muscles correctly, women can improve or fix their Diastasis and strengthen the core at the same time. The splint helps hold the rectus abdominus muscles and tissue in the correct position, allowing the connective tissue to heal faster.
I had a c-section, can I wear the FITsplint? Always check with your doctor. It is recommended to wear the FITsplint after your incision has healed (approx 6 weeks). However the FITsplint is typically worn above the incision, so some women have been able to wear it earlier without it bothering the scar.
Can I just wear the FITsplint to fix my Diastasis? Unfortunately, the FITsplint is not going to strengthen the weak muscles or the connective tissue! Correct abdominal exercise increases blood flow to the area to promote healing. A woman will get the best results by doing both at the same time.
By doing the ReCORE program and wearing the FITsplint, will my belly fat go away? The best way to lose excess belly fat is by healthy eating habits, cardio and strength training combined. The ReCORE program focuses solely on strength training and reconditioning the "Belly Bulge." Strength training does burn fat, but not necessarily from the area of the body that you would like. You cannot spot reduce fat away. The main focus of the program is to re-strengthen the abdominal muscles and other core areas as needed.
